Your First Pregnancy Appointment
Your first pregnancy appointment is an exciting time. Learn more about what to expect at your first visit and what questions to ask.
What is FASD?
FASD often occurs when parents simply aren’t aware of the impact of consuming alcohol while pregnant or are not supported by their community to remain alcohol free during pregnancy. FASD can affect the child’s physical or neuro/behavioural development and has a lifelong impact.
Should I exercise when I’m pregnant?
Regular physical exercise is so very important for our overall physical health and has been proven to be enormously beneficial for our mental health. For a normal, low-risk pregnancy this does not change (unless your pregnancy care provider has advised you otherwise)!
Birth Trauma
If you’ve experienced birth trauma (physical or mental) during a previous birth, that’s a topic we should discuss. Learn more about why it’s important.
